Emphasis is on the horse-human connection at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding — a non-profit center that provides equine-assisted services for people of all ages and abilities. Very much reliant on donations to subsidize program costs, High Hopes’ annual gala isn’t just a wonderful night of community and meaning, it’s their biggest fundraising event of the year.

Project Goals

For the 2026 annual gala, the Julia Balfour team worked with High Hopes to bring the community to Tuscany for the evening. Featuring deep, rich greens and teals, tactile vintage paper, and a terracotta texture, Bella Notte emphasized a rustic “wish you were here” sentiment. Duotone images of the Tuscan countryside, postcards, stamps, and old world typography add to the overall vintage Italian feel that’s progressively carried throughout every touchpoint leading up to and during the gala. It was a transformative evening that boasted a record attendance and early sell out.
