Project Goals

If you couldn’t tell by the name, the visual theme of the 2016 High Hopes Annual Gala really focused on the horses — the most powerful tool in the beautiful work that High Hopes does everyday. The designers at Julia Balfour set about, illustrating 20+ watercolor horses — all in motion — to grace the collateral for this years gala. These paintings were used throughout every piece created in addition to beautiful textures from the farm and a colorful handmade piece of marbled paper. Using a funky calligraphy with ink spots, every element of this year’s design evoked a rustic yet refined and hands-on feeling.
